Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy Ltd. has reported a notable reduction in its net loss for the third quarter, with the figure standing at ₹83.6 crore compared to ₹197.6 crore in the same period last year. This marks a significant financial turnaround for the company.
The company's revenue experienced a robust 50% year-on-year growth, climbing to ₹953.6 crore. This substantial increase was primarily fueled by strong volume expansion and a growing contribution from non-vehicle revenue sources, which now constitute 14% of overall revenue.
Ather Energy achieved its highest quarterly sales volumes, selling 67,851 units, representing 50% year-on-year growth. The company's overall market share in India expanded to 18.8% during the third quarter of FY26. This performance was bolstered by strong festive demand.
Regionally, South India continues to be Ather's leading market, maintaining leadership with a 24.4% market share. The "Middle India" region showed significant scaling, with market share nearly doubling to 17.4%, driven by growth in states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha.
Executive Director and CEO Tarun Mehta expressed satisfaction with the quarter, highlighting robust festive demand and healthy volume growth as key drivers for the company's best quarterly revenue and EBITDA performance to date. He emphasized the focus on improving unit economics, margins, and operating leverage, which are now evident in the financial results.
