18 May
Summary
- Astral's Q4 profit grew 19.7% to ₹213 crore, missing estimates.
- Revenue increased 24.3% to ₹2,089 crore but fell short of forecasts.
- The company proposed a final dividend of ₹2.50 per equity share.
Astral Ltd announced its financial results for the March quarter on May 18, 2026, revealing double-digit growth in profit and revenue that, however, did not meet market expectations. The company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹213 crore for Q4FY26, a 19.7% increase from the previous year's ₹178 crore. This figure fell short of the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹258 crore.
Revenue from operations saw a significant year-on-year jump of 24.3%, reaching ₹2,089 crore compared to ₹1,681 crore in the same period last year. Nevertheless, this revenue was below the CNBC-TV18 estimate of ₹2,184 crore. EBITDA also grew by 27% to ₹383 crore, yet it too missed the Street's projection of ₹419 crore.
The company's EBITDA margin showed a slight improvement to 18.3% from 18% in the prior year, but this was also below the estimated 19.2%. Astral also approved the re-appointment of Sandeep Engineer as Managing Director for another five-year term starting April 1, 2027.
In addition to the financial results, Astral's board recommended a final dividend of ₹2.50 per equity share for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting. The company is a prominent Indian manufacturer of pipes, plumbing systems, adhesives, paints, and building materials.
