OIL India Limited has entered into a crucial Deed of Agreement for the Composite Licence of a graphite and vanadium block located in the Yazali circle of Arunachal Pradesh. The agreement, formalized on January 1, 2026, designates the mineral block within the Keyi Panyor district. This marks a significant step towards harnessing the region's rich mineral wealth.
As part of this initiative, the Centre of Earth Science and Himalayan Studies (CESHS) will act as a local partner, holding a 10 percent stake in the project. CESHS's deep local understanding and community ties are expected to facilitate the preliminary survey and exploration work. Their role will be instrumental in ensuring smooth coordination with local communities and authorities, fostering a collaborative environment for resource development.
