3 Nov
Summary
- Apple reported $114.5 billion in Q4 revenue, exceeding Wall Street estimates.
- New CEO John Ternus oversees his first earnings report, beating top and bottom lines.
- iPhone and Mac sales were strong, but China and iPad revenue fell short of targets.

Apple's fiscal fourth quarter concluded with a significant financial milestone, as the company reported $114.5 billion in revenue, exceeding Wall Street's expectations of $113.46 billion. This performance marks the first earnings report under the leadership of new CEO John Ternus, who expressed enthusiasm for the company's recent innovation across all product categories.
The tech giant's top and bottom lines surpassed analyst estimates, with earnings per share reaching $2.10. Strong sales of iPhones, totaling $57.58 billion, and Macs, which exceeded estimates by over $1 billion, contributed significantly to the quarter's success. The Services business also performed in line with projections.
However, the report was not without its challenges. Revenue from Greater China fell short of expectations at $17.54 billion, and iPad sales also lagged, bringing in $6.23 billion. CFO Kevan Parekh noted that while tariff refunds boosted gross margin to 47.9%, underlying costs, particularly for memory, are increasing.
CEO Ternus acknowledged ongoing "supply constraints" affecting product availability. The company anticipates operating expenses for the holiday quarter to be slightly higher than estimated. Investors are closely watching Apple's ability to navigate escalating memory costs and broader supply chain issues, which have led to increased hardware prices.
