- The consolidated entity aims to be Europe's leading one-stop-shop for distributors and streamers.

Anton Studios has acquired a minority investment in The Creatives, a burgeoning European film and television production group. Initially a strategic partnership formed in 2021, The Creatives is now a consolidated company with a jointly owned holding structure. This transformation establishes The Creatives as Europe's first producer-owned group of its scale in the industry. Romain Bessi will continue to lead the company as CEO, leveraging his extensive experience in production and distribution.
The Creatives boasts a robust network of leading production entities. These include Haut et Court and Unité in France, Komplizen and Razor Film in Germany, Good Chaos in the UK, Lemming Film in the Netherlands and Belgium, Maipo Film in Norway, Spiro in Israel, and Masha in the United States. Anton's financial backing will significantly bolster The Creatives' resources and its capacity for equity financing.
Bessi emphasized that consolidating into a formal group was always the intention for the producers involved. They sought a European financial partner who understood the industry's cyclical nature and was willing to take a minority stake without demanding distribution or sales rights. Anton Studios, known for its own notable projects and past collaborations, met these criteria, leading to the finalized agreement.
The Creatives aims to become the premier European 'one-stop-shop' for major distributors and streamers, offering access to a diverse array of elevated content and festival-acclaimed films and series. This unified approach allows producers to focus on developing projects, taking risks, and attracting top talent, supported by the group's collective scale and financial reliability. The group's productions have garnered over 140 awards globally, including a Cannes Palme d'Or and Academy Award nominations.
