Anthropic has ascended to become the world's most valuable AI startup, eclipsing OpenAI after securing $65 billion in its latest funding round. This significant influx of capital has propelled Anthropic's valuation to an impressive $965 billion, approaching the trillion-dollar mark.

The substantial funding is earmarked to address the historic demand the company is experiencing, maintain its position at the research frontier, and broaden the availability of its AI chatbot, Claude. As of May 29, 2026, Anthropic's chief financial officer, Krishna Rao, highlighted these objectives.

Furthermore, Anthropic announced a significant milestone: Claude has become the first advanced AI model available across all three major global cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. This widespread availability is a strategic move to capture a larger market share.
