17 Mar
Summary
- Andhra Pradesh has enough LPG for 15 days, says CM.
- CM ordered uninterrupted gas supply to essential services.
- Officials to prevent hoarding and black market sales.

Andhra Pradesh currently holds a reserve of 14,000 tonnes of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG), sufficient for the next 15 days. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stated this during a review meeting on LPG availability in Amaravati on March 17, 2026. He reassured that additional LPG supplies are en route to meet the state's ongoing requirements.
Naidu instructed officials to guarantee uninterrupted gas provision to essential services, including hospitals, hostels, educational institutions, and temples. He also urged exploration of alternative energy solutions for those in need, given the persistent LPG shortage. Furthermore, measures are to be implemented to ensure ample availability of induction stoves in the market.
To curb hoarding and black market sales, the Chief Minister mandated the adoption of technology-based methods. These include QR code scanning and OTP verification for gas cylinder deliveries, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the distribution process.
