American Airlines is phasing out its premium first-class cabins, with the final sale of first-class tickets on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft occurring by November 19. The discontinuation extends to Airbus A321T first class by March 28, 2027. These iconic first-class sections will be reconfigured to offer enhanced business class seating.
The airline is redirecting its focus to an elevated business class experience, highlighted by the new Flagship Suite. This next-generation product boasts privacy doors, increased storage, and a unique chaise lounge position. The redesigned Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will feature 70 Flagship Suite seats, alongside 44 Premium Economy seats and additional Main Cabin Extra options.
In conjunction with the cabin changes, American Airlines is transforming its exclusive Flagship First Dining for first-class passengers into Flagship Dining. This revamped offering will provide an à la carte dining experience for business class travelers, featuring curated dishes and premium beverages within the lounges. Onboard service will also be upgraded to match the new premium standard.
