Antitrust Probe Hits Allegro HQ
26 Feb
Summary
- Antimonopoly office searched e-commerce platform Allegro's headquarters.
- Allegro suspected of favouring its own logistics services.
- Shares dropped by approximately 10% since the year began.

Poland's antimonopoly office, UOKiK, conducted searches at the headquarters of e-commerce platform Allegro in Poznan and its Warsaw offices. These actions are part of an ongoing explanatory proceeding.
The investigation centers on suspicions that Allegro may have breached competition rules by favouring its proprietary logistics services over those offered by rivals. UOKiK President Tomasz Chrostny indicated the suspicions were serious enough to warrant a court-approved search.
Allegro, Poland's largest e-commerce player, has been actively developing its logistics network to enhance its competitive standing against rivals. The company announced plans in September to expedite its parcel locker rollout.
As of the report, Allegro's shares were down 1.2% for the day, contributing to an approximate 10% drop since the beginning of the year.
