Alkane Unearths Rich Gold-Antimony Vein
24 Aug
Summary
- New high-grade gold-antimony domain discovered at Costerfield.
- Exceptional intercepts include 580.9 g/t gold and 24% antimony.
- New pod is accessible from existing underground infrastructure.

Alkane Resources has announced a significant discovery of a new high-grade gold-antimony domain at its Costerfield operation in Victoria. This domain includes an outstanding intercept of 580.9 g/t gold and 24% antimony over 0.61 metres, with even higher-grade sections reported.
The newly identified Cuffley pod is situated in an unmined area between historical high-grade panels. Its accessibility from existing underground infrastructure simplifies integration into the Costerfield mine schedule, presenting immediate operational advantages for Alkane.
Further drilling at the deeper Sub-KC domain below the Augusta mine has also yielded high-grade results, including 28.2 g/t gold over 0.99 metres. Alkane believes there is substantial scope for expansion in the Sub-KC domain.
Exploration in the Cuffley area has identified a new grade pod with very high gold and antimony concentrations, demonstrating potential for additional high-grade material near existing underground infrastructure.
