New enhancements are boosting passenger services at airports, with a focus on catering and hospitality. Lokpriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport in Guwahati is set to receive a new transit hospitality offering, a 21-room property branded as Swirl, located within Terminal 2.
Meanwhile, NMIA has significantly strengthened its inflight catering capacity. A new dedicated flight kitchen, operated by TajSATS and situated within the airport precinct, is now serving over 40 departing flights daily. This facility has the capacity to produce 7,500 meals a day, with plans for expansion to 15,000 meals as airline movements increase.
The TajSATS kitchen offers flexibility for airlines to meet rising demand and enhances the passenger culinary experience. Its strategic location allows for efficient meal delivery to departing aircraft, catering to both domestic and international carriers. The facility can also accommodate special dietary requirements, including allergen-sensitive and halal meals.
