Aeroflex Shifts Gears: From Hoses to High-Tech Cooling
21 Jul
Summary
- Aeroflex is diversifying into high-value engineering products like data center liquid-cooling systems.
- Liquid cooling market projected to grow from $2.84B in 2025 to $21.15B by 2032.
- Company is significantly expanding liquid cooling skid assembly capacity to meet demand.

Aeroflex Industries is strategically repositioning itself, moving beyond its legacy as an industrial hose manufacturer towards higher-value engineering products. This includes a significant push into liquid-cooling systems for data centers, a market poised for substantial growth driven by AI infrastructure.
In FY26, Aeroflex achieved Rs 442 crore in revenue, with operating profit rising 25% to Rs 100 crore. The March quarter saw a strong 38% year-over-year revenue increase, bolstered by a richer product mix of assemblies and fittings accounting for 52% of revenue.
The company's entry into the liquid cooling market shows promising early traction. By July 1, Aeroflex had already shipped nearly 70% more liquid-cooling skid assemblies in the first quarter of FY27 than in the entirety of FY26.
To support this burgeoning sector, Aeroflex is aggressively expanding its annual skid assembly capacity, which is set to reach 15,000 units by the second quarter of FY27. Investments in automation and new product development underscore the transition towards complex engineering solutions.
Management projects substantial future revenue from these new ventures, with liquid cooling potentially generating over Rs 325 crore annually. This strategic diversification, if successful, could transform Aeroflex into a significantly different entity from its current industrial manufacturing base.
The company maintains a comfortable financial position with low borrowings and strong cash generation, supporting its ambitious expansion plans. Healthy return ratios, despite recent investments, indicate a robust financial foundation for its strategic shift.
