ACME Group has entered into a significant 10-year Green Ammonia Purchase Agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). This agreement, valued at an estimated ₹20,000 crore, mandates the annual supply of 370,000 tonnes of green ammonia.
The deal operates under the Indian government's SIGHT Scheme, specifically Mode-2A, Tranche-I. ACME is set to construct a green ammonia production facility in Odisha. The produced ammonia will then be distributed to six different fertilizer plants situated in five Indian states.
SECI is acting as the intermediary aggregator for this initiative. This arrangement involves separate Green Ammonia Sale Agreements with the ultimate offtake companies. ACME's COO highlighted the commercial viability and competitive cost demonstrated by this agreement.
