Summary
- Canandaigua Planning Commission approved 7 Brew's demolition and construction plan.
- The drive-thru coffee chain offers beverages, no food or seating.
- Construction is anticipated to begin in early spring.

A new 7 Brew drive-thru beverage shop is set to open in Canandaigua, New York, following approval from the City Planning Commission. The company plans to demolish the existing former Denny's restaurant on Eastern Boulevard to construct a smaller, dedicated drive-thru facility. This expansion marks another step for the rapidly growing chain, which already has locations in Sweden and Greece and plans for further expansion in Monroe County.
The 7 Brew model focuses exclusively on beverages, with no interior or exterior seating, and notably, no food offerings. Customers will find a diverse menu including coffee, teas, Italian sodas, smoothies, shakes, and hot chocolate. Service is entirely car-based, with baristas taking orders via tablets, eliminating traditional speaker boxes.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in early spring, weather permitting. The establishment plans to employ six staff members per shift, operating from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and extending to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
