Land promotion company Richborough has unveiled proposals for a significant housing development comprising about 650 homes on fields adjacent to Newcastle-under-Lyme Golf Club. The planned community will offer a range of properties from two to five bedrooms, importantly ensuring that 30% of the homes are affordable. The development site, earmarked for 550 homes in the borough's draft local plan, also includes plans for a substantial country park. This park, situated southwest of the housing area near the M6, will feature allotments and a community orchard, remaining within the green belt.
