Summary
- A major British pub chain is reintroducing £3 pints in London.
- This is the first time London has seen pints this cheap in over 10 years.
- The chain focuses on value, with pints nationwide priced £2.50-£3.50.

Amber Taverns, a significant British pub chain, is set to launch its first pub within London's M25 orbital road, introducing pints priced as low as £3. This move signifies a remarkable return to affordability for Londoners, as the average pint price has escalated to approximately £6.50.
Established in 2005, Amber Taverns specializes in acquiring and revitalizing underappreciated local pubs and former retail spaces. The company currently operates 175 establishments across various regions of the UK, including the northwest, northeast, Midlands, Wales, and Scotland.
The new London venture, named The Saving Grace, will be located on Bromley High Street, taking over the former Barrel and Horn premises. This expansion into the capital follows a period of considerable investment, with 16 new sites opened in the previous financial year, totaling £15.3 million.
Amber Taverns' business model deliberately limits food options to snacks like peanuts and pork scratchings, thereby avoiding the complexities of full kitchen operations. This strategy allows them to concentrate on offering competitive drink prices, with pints consistently priced between £2.50 and £3.50 across their national network.
