This week marks a significant event for the stock market, with shares from 16 companies, collectively valued at over ₹11,900 crore, becoming available for trade as their respective shareholder lock-in periods conclude. This influx of shares could influence market dynamics.
Of the sixteen companies experiencing the end of their lock-in periods, a majority, ten, are currently trading below their initial public offering (IPO) prices. BLS E-Services is the only one among these four trading above its IPO price.
Further, Tuesday will see the lock-in periods for new listings Saatvik Green Energy and GK Energy end, releasing 2% of their equity. The week concludes with seven companies, including Solarworld Energy Solutions and Anand Rathi Shares and Stock Brokers, having their lock-in periods expire on Friday.
