'The Fantastic Four' Struggles at Indian Box Office Amid Tough Competition
31 Jul
Summary
- 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' earned just ₹1.05 crore on its sixth day in India
- Film faces stiff competition from Bollywood blockbuster 'Saiyaara' and animated epic 'Mahavatar Narsimha'
- Expected to cross ₹25 crore mark in India by the end of its first week

Marvel Studios' latest superhero film, 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps', has been facing a declining box office performance in India since its release. According to the latest estimates, the film earned approximately ₹1.05 crore on its sixth day in the country, bringing its total collection to an estimated ₹24.71 crore.
Despite a promising start with ₹5.5 crore on the first day, the film has witnessed fluctuations in its daily earnings. After a decent weekend haul of ₹20.1 crore, the film saw a significant dip on Monday, earning just ₹1.66 crore. While there was a marginal growth on Tuesday with ₹1.9 crore, Wednesday's earnings suggested a further decline, marking the film's lowest collection to date.
The Fantastic Four's struggles can be attributed to the stiff competition it faces from Bollywood blockbusters like 'Saiyaara', which is on its way to the ₹300 crore mark. Additionally, the animated epic 'Mahavatar Narsimha' has also eaten into the superhero film's market share, especially in regional circuits.
With just one day left to end its first week, 'The Fantastic Four' is expected to cross the ₹25 crore mark in India, though its long-term performance might not be able to match the success of recent Hollywood releases like the DC superhero film 'Superman' and the dino film 'Jurassic World Rebirth'.
