The cast of acclaimed South Korean director Na Hong-Jin's upcoming sci-fi thriller 'Hope' has been unveiled, with an impressive ensemble of international stars. The film, now in post-production, is Na's most ambitious project to date and is slated for a summer 2026 release.
The cast photo features acclaimed South Korean actors Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, and Hoyeon, alongside Oscar nominees Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander, as well as Taylor Russell and Cameron Britton. The film is set in the remote village of Hope Harbor, near the heavily fortified Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), where a local emergency involving a sighted tiger soon spirals into a deeper, more terrifying mystery.
Hwang, Zo, and Hoyeon play key roles in the film, with Fassbender, Vikander, Russell, and Britton portraying extraterrestrials whose arrival in Hope Harbor accelerates the town's unraveling. Director Na, known for redefining Korean genre cinema with films like 'The Wailing' and 'The Chaser,' has expressed his deep gratitude to the cast for their dedicated performances.
'Hope' is being produced under Na's production banner Forged Films and will be distributed internationally by Plus M Entertainment and UTA Independent Film Group in North America.
