Summary
- SRK attended preview of son Aryan's directorial debut 'Bads of Bollywood'
- SRK joked about not making a film as bad as his 2018 flop 'Zero'
- 'Zero' was a box office disaster despite star-studded cast

On August 19th, 2025, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan attended the grand preview of his son Aryan Khan's directorial debut, the Netflix series 'Bads of Bollywood'. During the event, SRK amused the audience by making light-hearted jokes about his own 2018 film 'Zero', which was a commercial failure despite its star-studded cast.
Addressing the crowd, SRK quipped, "Gadha bana lena, mamu bana lena lekin bhagwaan ke liye meri tarah 'Zero' mat banana." This isn't the first time the superstar has poked fun at the movie, as he previously made a similar remark during an 'Ask SRK' session on X (formerly Twitter) in 2023.
Released in 2018, 'Zero' was directed by Aanand L Rai and co-starred Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The film failed to impress at the box office, earning under Rs 100 crore in India. It is now counted among Shah Rukh Khan's flops.

Meanwhile, Aryan Khan has chosen to explore filmmaking rather than acting like his famous father and sister Suhana Khan. He has been working on 'Bads of Bollywood' for over a year, serving as the creator and director alongside co-creators Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan. The Netflix show, backed by SRK's production house Red Chillies Entertainment, reportedly delves into the world of aspirants, hustlers, and dreamers navigating the chaos of Bollywood.
