'Saiyaara' Soars: Bollywood Blockbuster Breaks Records in Debut Week

The Mohit Suri-directed film 'Saiyaara' has been making waves at the box office, wrapping up its first week on a solid note. The movie, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has raked in an impressive ₹172.75 crore nett in just seven days, with consistent double-digit collections every single day.

The film opened to a strong ₹21.5 crore and continued to show fantastic traction in theaters throughout the week. In a remarkable feat, its Wednesday collection was on par with the opening day, an unprecedented and fantastic achievement. Even on Thursday, the film earned ₹19 crore, its lowest in the first week but still an impressive figure.

With no other major Hindi releases scheduled in the coming weekend, 'Saiyaara' is poised to surpass the ₹200 crore nett benchmark by the end of its second weekend. In fact, the film is expected to enter its second week with a figure in the range of ₹230-240 crore nett, cementing its status as the biggest debutant-led Bollywood entertainer this year, second only to 'Chhaava' in terms of the highest week one collection for a Hindi film.

The second weekend presents another opportunity for 'Saiyaara' to create new records and break some more existing ones at the box office. The film follows the story of a rising singer, Krish Kapoor (Panday), and Vaani Batra (Padda), and boasts a winning combination of drama, romance, chemistry, music, and emotions.
