The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are set to feature a star-studded lineup of performers, with Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin, and Alex Warren all taking the stage. Carpenter, who made her VMA debut last year and won Song of the Year, is up for eight awards this time around, including Video of the Year for "Manchild."
Meanwhile, J Balvin is slated to perform his new single "Zun Zun" alongside Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavárez, as well as debut a new collaboration with DJ Snake. Newcomer Alex Warren and singer-songwriter Sombr will also make their VMA debut performances, both vying for the Best New Artist award.
In addition to the initial slate of performers, the VMAs have revealed their first two major honorees for 2025. Ricky Martin will receive the inaugural Latin Icon Award, returning to the show 26 years after making history as the first male Latin artist to win Best Pop Video. Busta Rhymes, a VMAs staple since 1997, will be recognized with the MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award.

The 2025 VMAs are set to air live on September 7 from the UBS Arena in New York, with LL Cool J hosting the ceremony.
