Summary
- Actor Orlando Bloom wants to reunite with co-stars for "Pirates" reboot
- Keira Knightley has sworn off franchises after "Pirates" experience
- Producer Jerry Bruckheimer says Johnny Depp would return if script is good

According to a recent report, the actor who portrayed Will Turner in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" film franchise, Orlando Bloom, is eager to reunite with his co-stars for a potential reboot of the series. Bloom stated that "the way to win" with a reboot is to bring back the entire original cast, including Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow and Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann.
While Depp's character has been a constant throughout the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced film series, Bloom and Knightley's characters appeared in four of the five movies, skipping the 2011 installment "On Stranger Tides." Bloom expressed that if the script was strong and the entire cast was on board, he would be "in for a penny, in for a pound" to reprise his role.
However, Knightley has since sworn off franchises after her experience working on the "Pirates" movies, citing the "insane" hours and lack of control over the filming process. Meanwhile, Bruckheimer revealed that a reboot is in development, with a separate spin-off starring Margot Robbie also in the works. The producer believes Depp would return if the script is well-written, but the future of the franchise remains uncertain.
