'Param Sundari' Plummets at Box Office Despite Lack of Competition

As of September 5th, 2025, the Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor-led Param Sundari has been struggling at the Indian box office. The film, which had the biggest opportunity to strike gold in the absence of any major competition in its first week, has failed to capitalize on the situation.

Despite the lack of competition from other releases, Param Sundari stayed far away from the top 10 opening week collections of 2025 in Bollywood. The film's box office performance has been on a constant decline, with the latest figures showing a 6% drop on day 7, earning only 2.69 crores.

The overall earnings of Param Sundari now stand at 41.67 crore net at the Indian box office. The film, made on a reported budget of 60 crores, has recovered only 69.45% of its estimated cost in 7 days. The journey ahead looks further challenging, as the movie faces strong competition from upcoming releases like Baaghi 4, The Bengal Files, and The Conjuring: Last Rites, starting today.

The first weekend of Param Sundari had given some hope that the film would add success to the careers of Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. However, the graph has constantly declined thereafter, and the romantic comedy has failed to beat the debut week earnings of recent Bollywood releases like Mahavatar Narsimha, Bhool Chuk Maaf, and Kesari Chapter.
