As of August 20th, 2025, actor Guy Pearce is reportedly in talks to portray media mogul Rupert Murdoch in director Danny Boyle's next film, titled 'Ink'. Pearce would be joined by fellow actor Jack O'Connell, who is also eyeing a role in the project, which is being produced by StudioCanal.
In separate news, Jason Momoa and director David Leitch are set to produce 'The Pirate' for Amazon MGM Studios. The action thriller is based on a hot spec script written by Will Dunn, who previously worked on the Disney+ series 'Ms. Marvel'. Leitch and his producing partner Kelly McCormick are currently in negotiations to produce the film under their 87North banner, while Momoa is in talks to produce through his On the Roam production company. If the deals are finalized, 'The Pirate' could potentially serve as a starring vehicle for Momoa.
Leitch is also currently directing the action-thriller 'How to Rob a Bank' for Amazon MGM, while his recent production 'Nobody 2' is now playing in theaters.
