Machine Gun Kelly Spent Holiday Season in Rehab, Missed Family Time

In a recent interview, musician Machine Gun Kelly, 35, candidly shared that he spent the entire holiday season, from late November through December, in a rehab facility. This was a significant personal event that occurred about 7 months ago, in relation to the current date of August 8, 2025.

During his time in rehab, major news broke regarding Kelly's personal life. His longtime relationship with actress Megan Fox, 39, had ended, and Fox announced she was pregnant with their "rainbow baby." However, Kelly says neither he nor Fox have publicly commented on the situation, and the public has been left to speculate.

Kelly admits he was "somewhat aware" of the drama unfolding while he was in rehab, but was largely disconnected from his phone and the outside world during his stay. He has since released a song called "Treading Water" that provides insight into his experience, with lyrics referencing his time in "Room Three" of the rehab facility over the holidays.

The singer's openness about his rehab journey comes about a year after he first spoke publicly about his sobriety efforts, revealing in August 2024 that he had been completely sober from all substances since the previous August.
