Summary
- Kirby Air Riders, a Switch 2 exclusive, launches on November 20, 2025
- The game will cost $70, $10 cheaper than Mario Kart World
- Kirby Air Riders is a sequel to the 2003 GameCube title Kirby Air Ride

Nintendo has revealed that Kirby Air Riders, a new exclusive for the upcoming Switch 2 console, will launch on November 20, 2025. The announcement came during the company's latest Direct presentation, which provided a deep dive into the game's various modes, including circuit-based tracks and a sandbox offering.
Notably, Kirby Air Riders will be priced at $70, which is $10 cheaper than the Switch 2's upcoming Mario Kart World racer. This pricing structure aligns with Nintendo's comments on the new "variable pricing" model for games on its next-generation console.
Kirby Air Riders is a long-awaited sequel to the original Kirby Air Ride, which debuted on the GameCube back in 2003. The game is a rare project for Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai that is not another entry in the Smash Bros. series, as he takes a break from the franchise he is most associated with.

The announcement of Kirby Air Riders comes as part of Nintendo's growing Switch 2 lineup for the remainder of 2025, which includes the August 28 launch of Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, followed by Pokémon Legends: Z-A - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on October 16. Fans are now eagerly awaiting news on the much-delayed Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which is expected to arrive sometime in 2025.
