On August 4th, 2025, the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) announced that acclaimed actor Kevin Costner will be the recipient of the prestigious Eva Monley Award. The award recognizes Costner's extraordinary contribution to the art and craft of filmmaking through his commitment to the use of real locations as storytelling tools.
Costner's extensive filmography, which includes acclaimed projects such as "Dances with Wolves," "The Bodyguard," "Field of Dreams," "Yellowstone," and "Horizon: An American Saga," has earned him numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award. The LMGI president, John Rakich, praised Costner's deep respect for the craft and his ability to use locations to shape the emotional and visual language of his films.
In addition to Costner's recognition, the LMGI Awards will also honor veteran Location Manager Ilt Jones with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Jones has worked on numerous blockbuster films, including "The Dark Knight Rises," "Inception," "Iron Man 3," "Kong: Skull Island," "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," "Captain Marvel," and the "Transformers" franchise.
Furthermore, leading post-production company Goldcrest Post has announced the addition of three new senior members to its growing picture finishing team. The new hires include senior colorists Andrew Geary and Anthony Raffaele, as well as senior Vice President J. Eric Camp. Goldcrest's managing director, Domenic Rom, stated that the new team members' commitment to high-end work and deep industry relationships will take the company's picture finishing capabilities to the next level.
