On Thursday, August 1st, 2025, Gracie Abrams closed out her Lollapalooza set with a special guest appearance from Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn. The duo took the stage together to perform the infectious electropop track "Dancing on My Own", blending it with Abrams' own song "Close To You".
The crowd erupted in cheers as the pair delivered the iconic chorus, "I'm giving it my all/But I'm not the guy you're taking home/I keep dancing on my own." Robyn, who released the single in 2010 as the lead from her Body Talk Pt. 1 album, has said the track was inspired by her experiences going out and observing people in clubs.
Abrams, who had previously covered "Dancing on My Own" during her Lollapalooza performance last year, has been steadily gaining popularity since the release of her breakout album The Secret of Us. Earlier this week, she also delivered two sold-out shows at New York's Madison Square Garden.
In other news, Alec Baldwin's lawsuit against New Mexico prosecutors over the fatal shooting on the set of the film Rust has been dismissed. The actor had filed the suit in 2023, alleging that the prosecutors had violated his constitutional rights.
