28 Jul
Summary
- Fantastic Four costumes described as "comfy" and "like pajamas"
- Actors praise mobility and lack of restrictive elements
- Costumes differ from typical tight, claustrophobic superhero outfits

In a recent interview, the stars of the upcoming Fantastic Four film have expressed their delight with the comfortable and practical nature of their superhero costumes. Unlike the often tight and claustrophobic outfits worn by many on-screen heroes, the blue-and-white retrofuturistic suits donned by the Fantastic Four cast are described as downright cozy.
Pedro Pascal, who plays a member of the team, noted that the costumes are a far cry from the bulky Mandalorian armor he's worn in the Star Wars universe. Instead of a restrictive chest plate, his outfit features a sweater-like design, and the only "headgear" are delicate silver wingtips on the sides of his head.
Joseph Quinn, who portrays the speedy Human Torch, also praised the mobility afforded by his suit, saying it didn't hold back his physicality. With no armor or cape to weigh him down, Quinn found the costume allowed him to fully embody his character's superhuman abilities.
While the Fantastic Four exist in their own separate Marvel Cinematic Universe, the comfort of their costumes is sure to be a topic of discussion as they prepare to join the larger ensemble of Avengers: Doomsday. Audiences can see the team's stylish yet practical outfits in action now, as Fantastic Four: First Steps continues to dominate the box office.
