Summary
- Fans upset over missing hit song 'Hridayam Lopala' from 'Kingdom' film
- Director says song didn't fit the film's intense tone
- 'Kingdom' earns over ₹15.50 crore on opening day

The highly anticipated spy action thriller 'Kingdom', directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and starring Vijay Deverakonda and Bhagyashri Borse, was released in theaters last Thursday and has been receiving largely positive reviews. However, a surprise for fans came after the release, as a popular song from the film's album was missing from the final cut.
The chartbuster 'Hridayam Lopala', which was the first single released from the film's soundtrack, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, was not featured in the theatrical version of 'Kingdom'. Fans on social media quickly reacted, expressing disappointment and confusion over the absence of the romantic number that had become a fan favorite for its melodious tone and visual appeal.
During a recent press meet in Hyderabad, the film's producer Naga Vamsi addressed the issue. He first responded in a light-hearted manner, asking the audience where the song would have fit in the film's narrative. Vamsi later admitted that many viewers, especially those anticipating a romantic moment between the lead actors, were upset by the song's exclusion. However, he explained that the team couldn't incorporate the track due to the film's 'intensity' and wanted to keep the climax slow to have a greater impact.
Despite the missing song, 'Kingdom' has managed to impress audiences, earning over ₹15.50 crore on its opening day in India. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda as Suri, a police constable turned spy, on a covert mission in Sri Lanka, and also features Satyadev as his long-lost brother Siva.
