Summary
- 'Dhadak 2' underperforming despite positive reviews and strong performances
- Film struggling to compete with 'Saiyaara' and 'Son Of Sardaar 2'
- Makers offering discounted tickets to boost ticket sales

The intense romantic drama 'Dhadak 2,' starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, is struggling to hold its ground at the box office. Although the movie has been praised for its gripping story and stellar performances, it has failed to translate its critical acclaim into impressive box office numbers.
In the six days since its release on August 1, 2025, 'Dhadak 2' has managed to earn over ₹15 crore. The film opened with a decent ₹3.5 crore on Friday and saw a slight growth on Saturday, collecting ₹3.75 crore. On Sunday, the movie saw a 10% rise, making ₹4.15 crore. However, the numbers took an unexpected dip on Monday, with a drop of over 60%, collecting only ₹1.35 crore. The collections rose to ₹1.65 crore on Tuesday, but according to early estimates, there was another dip on Wednesday, with the movie making ₹1 crore in business across India.
The tough competition from 'Saiyaara' and 'Son Of Sardaar 2' has further impacted the business of 'Dhadak 2.' While 'Saiyaara' continues to impress even in its third week, crossing the ₹300 crore mark, 'Son Of Sardaar 2' has maintained a strong grip on the audience from the beginning, earning over ₹31 crore in six days.
To draw more viewers to cinemas, the creators of 'Dhadak 2' have introduced a special promotion for Tuesday, August 5, where moviegoers can enjoy the film for just ₹99 at theaters nationwide. However, despite the makers' efforts, the film has not been able to witness any significant growth in its box office performance.
