According to the latest reports, "The Conjuring: Last Rites" is projected to earn between $35 million and $40 million on its opening weekend at the North American box office, which is 45.8% to 66.6% more than the last film's debut. While the opening weekend numbers may not be overwhelming, they are in line with the other main franchise entries, which saw openings of $41.8 million and $40.4 million for the first two films.
