As of August 8th, 2025, the hit legal drama Elsbeth is preparing for the premiere of its highly anticipated third season. The show, which follows the astute but unconventional consent decree attorney Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) as she works with the NYPD to catch New York's elite murderers, has secured a star-studded guest cast for its season opener.
Comedic powerhouses Amy Sedaris and Andy Richter are set to guest star in the premiere episode. Sedaris will play Laurel Hammond-Muntz, the headstrong and devoted head writer and executive producer of the popular late-night talk show Way Late. Richter will portray Mickey Muntz, Laurel's hilarious but long-suffering sidekick and husband to the show's host, Scotty Bristol (Stephen Colbert).
Joining Sedaris and Richter is Broadway star Lindsay Mendez, who will play Officer Grace Hackett, a hard-working police officer and aspiring stand-up comic. When Elsbeth teams up with Grace for a case focused on the world of comedy, Grace's insider knowledge of the industry proves invaluable.
