Sleuth Mom Races to Uncover Husband's Fate as Kidnapper Strikes Again

The hit crime drama High Potential is set to return to ABC and Hulu for its second season on September 16, 2025. The show follows Morgan Gillory, a single mother with an exceptionally high IQ, who works as a consultant for the local police department, using her keen intellect and deductive abilities to solve complex cases.

In the first season, which concluded seven months ago, Morgan took on the job with one condition - that the police investigate the mysterious disappearance of her first husband, Roman. He vanished one night while going to get diapers for their newborn daughter, and Morgan is convinced he would never have abandoned his family. As the investigation progresses, new evidence suggests Roman may still be alive, and Morgan's partner, Detective Adam Karadec, uncovers a lead that could finally provide answers.

Meanwhile, the police department is also grappling with a sick and twisted kidnapper who has been abducting people from a grief counseling group and forcing the LAPD to play a deadly game to save the victims before they run out of air. The kidnapper has managed to evade capture, even after Morgan's savant-like puzzle-solving skills have helped rescue his previous victims. But in a shocking twist, Morgan realizes the latest good Samaritan who helped her with groceries was actually the kidnapper himself, David Peck.

As the second season begins, Morgan must balance her personal quest to find out what happened to Roman with the high-stakes case of the elusive kidnapper, who continues to taunt the police and put innocent lives at risk.
