Bobby Flay's Holiday Throwdown Series Renewed for 2025

Culinary icon Bobby Flay is cooking up a special treat for fans of his hit competition series "Beat Bobby Flay" - the show's popular "Holiday Throwdown" edition will be returning in 2025.

The 60-year-old master chef revealed the news during a recent Instagram Stories Q&A session, confirming that the seasonal version of the long-running show will indeed be airing again next year. "Yes, Holiday Beat is coming back. It's always a blast!" Flay wrote in response to a fan's question.

The "Holiday Throwdown" series has aired for three seasons so far, with each season featuring an average of 6 episodes where Flay faces off against "familiar faces" from the Food Network in a three-round holiday-themed competition. Past seasons have included appearances from chefs like Eddie Jackson, Ina Garten, Sunny Anderson, Tiffani Faison, and Antonia Lofaso.

But Flay's plans for the "Beat Bobby Flay" franchise don't stop there. In a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," the chef revealed that a Broadway musical adaptation of the series is currently in development. Flay even has his sights set on a specific leading man - he's hoping to cast pop superstar Justin Timberlake in the role of Bobby Flay.

"We're working on an amazing composer. We have a writer, the whole thing. But I need a lead to play the Bobby Flay character... We need J.T. We need Justin Timberlake," Flay told host Jimmy Fallon.

The upcoming musical won't just focus on the competition aspect of "Beat Bobby Flay," but rather Flay's "life story," the chef explained. "It's going to be a party. This is not going to be a bunch of show tunes. This is going to be amazing. It's very New York," he said, promising a lively, high-energy production for Broadway audiences.
