The film is set in the Eastern Ghats, which lie on the Andhra-Odisha border, and follows a marginalized tribal group called Ghaatis who are working as laborers and transporters as they are involved in a cannabis smuggling operation. Anushka Shetty plays the role of Sheelavathi, a bus conductor from the Ghaati community, who gets entangled in the dangerous underworld of the cannabis trade.
