Alien Creator Noah Hawley Makes Acting Debut with 12-Year-Old Son in New FX Series

In a surprising turn of events, Noah Hawley, the creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the highly anticipated FX series Alien: Earth, will be making his acting debut in the show's premiere episodes. Joining him in his first acting role is Hawley's 12-year-old son, Lev.
Hawley, who had no initial plans to appear in the series, decided to take on the role of Wendy's father in a flashback sequence after his son asked if there was a part for him. Rather than casting day players, Hawley opted to play the role himself, as he felt it would be easier to direct his son and help him feel more relaxed on set.
"There's something nice and metaphorical about being my lead actor's parent," Hawley reflected. "Like, I'm the dad... Don't look out for a lot of me in the show. I was trying to create an emotion and something that really felt lived in and authentic."
Alien: Earth, which is set in the year 2120 and explores a world governed by five corporations, is scheduled to premiere on Hulu and FX on August 12, 2025. The series will feature a diverse cast, including Timothy Olyphant, Samuel Blenkin, and Babou Ceesay, and will introduce several new Alien creatures, including the Xenomorph, the face hugger, the Orchid, and the Eye Midge.
