Summary
- Actor Nicholas Chavez discusses his deleted scene in upcoming slasher requel
- Director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson explains why the scene didn't make the final cut
- Chavez open to returning for a potential sequel, says he enjoyed filming in Australia

In a recent interview, actor Nicholas Chavez shared his reaction to having a scene he filmed for the upcoming slasher requel cut from the final version of the movie. Chavez, who starred alongside Lola Tung in the deleted scene, said that while director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is a "good friend" and they had a "really, really good time" on set, the decision to remove the scene was simply part of the filmmaking process.
Chavez went on to say that his main memories from the production were of his time in Australia, where he had the opportunity to interact with kangaroos, go on hot air balloon adventures, and go cherry picking with his girlfriend. When asked about the specific character he played in the deleted scene, Chavez remained coy, saying that was "left to other people" to reveal.
Despite the disappointment of having his scene cut, Chavez seems open to the possibility of returning for a future installment of the horror franchise. "You know, ask me tomorrow, I'll have a million different answers for you," he said, emphasizing that the most important thing for him at this stage of his career is "doing good material with people who I love and people who I believe in and who believe in me."
For her part, director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson acknowledged that the decision to remove Chavez and Tung's scene "sucks" because she genuinely enjoyed working with them and thought they did a "fabulous job." However, she explained that in the end, the scene simply didn't fit the "larger tapestry of the film."
