According to a recent episode of the MeSsy podcast, actor Ed Helms has been juggling an incredibly demanding work schedule across two major projects. In 2025, while filming The Hangover movie, Helms was also committed to his role on the hit TV series The Office.
To accommodate this dual commitment, Helms would work on The Office in Los Angeles on Mondays and Tuesdays, then fly to Las Vegas for the rest of the week to shoot The Hangover. This resulted in Helms working 7 days a week, with "extremely full days of production" on both projects.
The grueling schedule took a toll, with Helms sometimes finishing The Hangover shoot at 4:30 am, only to immediately fly back to LA for a 6:30 am call time on The Office. To power through, Helms says he was drinking up to 6 Red Bulls per day.
Despite the exhaustion, Helms remained dedicated and enthusiastic about his work, even attending a charity event organized by Ben Stiller during one of his brutal back-to-back days. "I honestly loved every second of it," Helms said, "I just felt so psyched to be a part of these things that were so cool and so fun."
