Acclaimed Actress Stevie Kingsman Joins Cast of Netflix's 'Pride and Prejudice' Adaptation

In a major casting announcement, acclaimed actress and comedian Stevie Kingsman has joined the cast of Netflix's upcoming 'Pride and Prejudice' adaptation. Kingsman will play the role of Anna de Bourgh, the daughter of the formidable Lady Catherine de Bourgh, portrayed by Fiona Shaw.
The series, which recently started production in the UK, boasts an impressive ensemble. Emma Corrin, known for her role in 'The Crown,' will take on the lead role of Elizabeth Bennet, while Jack Lowden and Olivia Colman are set to play Mr. Darcy and Mrs. Bennet, respectively. Rufus Sewell will also star as the wise patriarch Mr. Bennet.
The Bennet sisters will be portrayed by a mix of established and rising talents, including Freya Mavor, Heartstopper's Rhea Norwood, and newcomers Hollie Avery and Hopey Parish. Louis Partridge will take on the role of the scheming Mr. Wickham, while Jamie Demetriou will play the pompous Mr. Collins. Daryl McCormack and Siena Kelly have been cast as Mr. Bingley and his sister Caroline.
The series, written by Dolly Alderton and directed by Euros Lyn, is expected to bring a fresh perspective to Jane Austen's classic novel, which explores the issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the British Regency era.
