Afroz recalled receiving an urgent audition request for the Neeraj Pandey series while on an extended visit to her mother's hometown in Assam, a location over 3,000 km away from her usual environment. The call came just two days into her month-long trip, prompting an immediate need to travel back and audition.
Despite the surprise and the significant distance, Afroz managed to audition and get approved within a short period. She highlighted the intense transition, noting a mere three-day window between her audition and being on set. Afroz emphasized that she simultaneously prepared for and shot her role, portraying a complex character with a seven-episode arc.
Reflecting on her career, Afroz stated that the rapid pace of the production was manageable due to years of dedicated, often unseen, preparation. She believes that consistent effort in refining one's craft ensures readiness when opportunities arise.
