Zootopia 2 Dominates Streaming with 1.72B Minutes Watched

In the streaming arena for the week of March 9-15, Disney+ emerged victorious with the debut of Zootopia 2, which captivated audiences with 1.72 billion minutes of viewing. This animated sequel's success also propelled its predecessor, Zootopia, to more than double its previous weekly viewership.

Netflix's popular series, One Piece, achieved a significant milestone with its second season premiere, logging a series-high 1.62 billion minutes. This surpassed its previous record set upon the debut of its first season. Virgin River also made a strong return to the rankings with its seventh season launch.

Prime Video's new crime drama, Scarpetta, based on Patricia Cornwell's novels, premiered impressively with 952 million minutes watched. It secured a notable position among original series, following closely behind another strong performer, The Pitt. Other shows like The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Age of Attraction also garnered substantial viewership.

On the movie front, Melania, a documentary about the former first lady, achieved a modest 230 million minutes on Prime Video following its theatrical release. Nielsen's streaming ratings measure TV set viewing within the U.S. only, excluding mobile and computer engagement.
