Zayn Malik Reflects on Relationship with Gigi Hadid

Zayn Malik recently spoke candidly about his past relationship with Gigi Hadid during an interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. He clarified his feelings, stating, "I will always love Gigi, because she's the reason my child is on this Earth, and I have the utmost respect for her." However, he expressed uncertainty about whether he was ever in love with her, suggesting that what he felt might have been lust or something else entirely.

Malik and Hadid, who were together from 2015 to 2021 and share daughter Khai, have different approaches to parenting. Malik noted that his experiences as a child influence his parenting style, sometimes leading him to overcompensate. He shared an anecdote where he gave Khai nearly $700 for her first lost tooth, a generous sum that Hadid questioned. He defended his actions, stating he works hard and wants to provide for his child, though he joked the tooth fairy was broke for the second tooth.

Reflecting on his perspective, Malik mentioned that his understanding of love has developed with age. He acknowledged that at the time of their relationship, he might have mistaken his feelings for love. Now, he recognizes that his desire to provide experiences for Khai that he lacked in his own childhood might lead him to overcompensate. He accepts this and is open about his approach to fatherhood.
