Pop singer Zara Larsson's vibrant Y2K-inspired style extends to her playful makeup, as demonstrated at the Billboard Women in Music event. Her makeup artist, Ernesto Casillas, crafted a "Malibu Barbie"-inspired eye look.
Casillas aimed for a "softer, feminine, but...still somewhat colorful" aesthetic. He achieved this by using wearable pinks, such as frosted champagne shades on the lid, and incorporating blush into the crease for warmth. A pinky brown shadow was used to contour, with blush softly blended over it.
To ensure the look performed under stage lights, Casillas emphasized glossy and frosty textures on eyelids, cheeks, and lips. He amplified the subtle pink shadow with shimmer at the center of the lids and along the cheekbones, complemented by a glossy lip.
Finishing touches included Lashify lash clusters. The Stardust style was placed on the outer corners to accentuate Larsson's feline eye shape, while Cherry Stax lashes were applied across the entire eye for a dolly effect.
