Swedish singer Zara Larsson recently clarified persistent rumors about her potentially joining the girl group Fifth Harmony to replace Camila Cabello. Larsson firmly denied ever receiving an offer to join the now-defunct group, although she expressed appreciation for girl groups and their resurgence.
Larsson recalled touring with Fifth Harmony in 2014 as an opening act and cherishes those memories. However, she admitted that if she were part of a girl group, she would aspire to a prominent role, like Beyoncé's in Destiny's Child, stating, "I just couldn't take not singing lead all the time."
Fifth Harmony, formed in 2012 on The X Factor USA, consisted of Camila Cabello, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and Normani Kordei. Cabello departed in 2016, and the group announced an indefinite hiatus in 2018. Notably, four members reunited for a surprise performance in 2025.
