Zahn McClarnon Honored with Visionary Award

The Santa Fe International Film Festival is set to present its Visionary Award to actor Zahn McClarnon on Friday, October 16. McClarnon, celebrated for his authentic and exciting performances, is currently starring as Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn in the AMC series Dark Winds. This series, executive produced by George R.R. Martin and the late Robert Redford, is based on Tony Hillerman's novels and follows Navajo police officers investigating crimes in the 1970s American Southwest.

McClarnon's extensive career includes a notable role as Officer Big in the FX series Reservation Dogs, for which he earned a Film Independent Spirit Award. His other significant credits span popular shows such as Fargo, Westworld, and Longmire, as well as films like Doctor Sleep and Hawkeye. The festival's director highlighted McClarnon's directorial debut as a key reason for this year's honor.
