Zach Cregger's Next Films Aim for 2028 Theatrical Bows

Zach Cregger, following the success of "Weapons," is expanding his cinematic universe with two new films slated for 2028. His original sci-fi thriller, "The Flood," is scheduled to hit theaters on August 11, 2028. Additionally, a prequel to "Weapons," titled "Gladys," will premiere on September 8, 2028.

Cregger is set to write and direct both projects. Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema have expressed enthusiasm for continuing their partnership with Cregger, highlighting his commitment to creating unique theatrical experiences. "The Flood" was initially in development at Netflix but faced a roadblock when the streamer declined a theatrical release, a venture Cregger prioritized.
