Zach Braff has returned to television screens in a revival of the beloved series "Scrubs." The actor is reprising his role as Dr. J.D. Dorian, now as the Chief of Medicine, in what is described as a continuation rather than a reboot. This revival has already secured a second season renewal from ABC and Hulu.
Beyond his return to "Scrubs," Braff has cultivated a diverse career behind the camera. He has directed episodes for other shows created by "Scrubs" writer Bill Lawrence, including "Ted Lasso" and "Shrinking." During the filming of "Shrinking," Braff developed a surprising friendship with co-star Harrison Ford, who even lent his carpentry skills to fix a set floor.
Braff's directorial experience extends to feature films such as "Garden State," for which he also won a Grammy for the soundtrack, and "A Good Person." With a significant history on "Scrubs," having starred in 175 episodes, Braff brings an experienced and humorous presence to his revived character.
