Food Network Star's Surprise Backyard Wedding

Food Network personality Zac Young, 43, and his partner Michael Schade, 34, recently celebrated their surprise wedding at their Pound Ridge, New York residence. The couple invited close family and friends, deceiving them into thinking they were attending a magazine photo shoot for a dinner party. This elaborate ruse ensured guests felt comfortable and celebrated the couple's love in a unique way. The ceremony was set to take place in their meticulously cultivated home garden. A mariachi band provided live music as the grooms, styled in custom suits, prepared to exchange vows. The garden, a symbol of their relationship, was adorned with flowers and food grown by the couple themselves. This meaningful venue echoed their parents' own backyard weddings, making the occasion deeply personal. The surprise nearly took an unexpected turn when the home's fire alarm sounded due to cooking, briefly drawing the attention of the local fire department. However, the couple embraced the moment with laughter, even capturing a photo with the firefighters. Following this minor hiccup, the grooms officially announced their wedding to their guests. The ceremony, officiated by a close friend, saw the couple exchanging vows under an arbor surrounded by blooms from their garden. Post-ceremony, guests enjoyed a family-style feast crafted by culinary friends, featuring garden produce and wines from Storybook Mountain Vineyards. The celebration continued with dessert, including fruit tarts and the couple's favorite soft serve, culminating in a carrot cake wedding cake assembled by Young.
